BS 1873 cast steel globe valve is the most appropriate manual valve and used in flow control when it is necessary to control the flow or pressure of a certain type of fluid, but cast steel globe valve is not a bi-directional valve, cast steel globe valve allow an efficient regulation of the fluid, with minimal erosion wear, both in the seat and in the plug, in contrast, they offer high pressure loss due to the sudden change of direction imposed on the fluid.
